eV Challenge - Western Australia eV stands for electric vehicle The eV Challenge is about designing, making and testing both machine and mankind. Based on endurance, the challenge has several criteria that each competitor must achieve before he or she can step into the vehicle and show what it can achieve under their driving. Once the design and functionality of the vehicle is assessed, the challenge takes on a test of driver endurance. Since all vehicles are fitted with the same type of fully charged battery, the test now is to see how many laps of a circut the vehicle can travel in a given time period. The winner is decided on the number of laps achieved with the vehicle still travelling under its own power.
