One of the cheapest sources of large scale renewable energy.

General Introduction:

  • Wind with Miller - the Danish Wind Industry guide to the functioning of a wind turbine. The guide takes the viewer through each working part step by step with illustrations depicting each section. A solid introduction for those new to wind turbines.
  • What's inside a Wind Turbine? A 9:53 minute video showing the viewer various parts of two variations of turbines based on the power they can generate.
  • Learn about Wind - This link is to Kidwind, an American site that guides students in the making of wind turbines. Parts for the designs can be ordered from overseas.
  • Starfish Hill Wind Farm - South Australia's first wind farm. Built on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia for TARONG Energy by a former Queensland Government Corporation.
